A hidden fox transmitter is broadcasting somewhere on the map. Use radio direction-finding to take bearing readings, triangulate its position, and walk to it.

• Click on the map to set a waypoint — you walk there automatically.
• Click multiple times to queue a path.
• Terrain affects your speed: forest and hills slow you down; water is nearly impassable.
• Roads (tan lines on the map) give a 1.5× speed boost — use them to move quickly across the map. Small building clusters mark road junctions.

• The fox must be TX ACTIVE (transmitting) — watch the status badge.
• Press R or click Take Reading. Movement pauses for the reading duration.
• A Morse carrier tone plays while the reading is in progress.
• When complete, the bearing is shown on the compass and drawn on the map as a dashed line with a coloured dot.
• Each bearing line starts from the coloured dot — the spot where you stood when you took that reading, not your current position.
• Readings taken farther from the fox have more angular error. Close-in readings are most accurate.

The meter in the top-right shows received signal strength — stronger means closer. It dims to Last Signal when nothing is broadcasting. Jammers (⚡) interfere with signal and bearings until you walk within the found radius.

• Take readings from at least two well-separated positions. Where the bearing lines cross is where the fox is.
• With a mobile fox, early bearings go stale — move quickly and take fresh readings as you close in.
• Use the Bearing Lines Shown setting to keep only your most recent readings visible.
